The Association for Environmental Archaeology (AEA)

AEA Books Service

The Association for Environmental Archaeology offers a limited range of books of interest to Environmental Archaeologists for sale (to paid-up members only) at a discount of 15-33 (-50)%.

Books are available from:

Dr Allan Hall, English Heritage Senior Research Fellow, Department of Archaeology, University of York, The King's Manor, York YO1 7EP, UK +44 1904 434950 (fax 433902) email: biol8@york.ac.uk

Buying policy: To avoid accumulations of unsold stock, we generally ask members periodically (via an e-mail message) to make orders in advance of the purchase of a batch of copies of a forthcoming or existing title. We then order the number we need to fulfil those orders, plus a few ‘spares' and so the number of copies and titles in stock is kept small!

NB After a good ‘stock clearance' at the AEA Meeting in York in 2009, we have in stock (at 1 July 2010) only a single copy of

Housley, R. and Coles, G. (eds.). 2004. Atlantic connections and adaptations . Symposia of the AEA 21. AEA price £30 *** NOW AVAILABLE AT £20 ***

two copies of

Asouti, E. and Fuller, D.Q. 2008. Trees and Woodland of S India . (£38)

and three copies of a STAR (Scottish Trust for Archaeology Research) Monograph from AOC ( Scotland ) Ltd.:

... Arran 1978-81 (Barber, ed.), £30.00 (NOW £10.00)

We are always pleased to consider new titles to sell - but we must be able to secure a publisher's discount of at least 20-33% and be able to sell the copies we buy within a few years (so if we have to order large numbers of an expensive book in order to get a discount, we probably won't wish to pursue the title concerned!).
